Emily Stowe-Sorensen
MS, LPC, NCCChief Administrative Officer of Empathic Empowerment Counseling, PLLC
Therapy with me is a space where you can show up exactly as you are, curled up on your couch, maybe a pet nearby (my cats will absolutely make an appearance too), and free to bring whatever feels most true for you in the moment. I believe healing happens through genuine connection, and my role is to create a warm, collaborative environment where you feel seen, understood, and safe to explore your inner world.
My work is grounded in a humanistic and trauma-informed approach, with a strong emphasis on Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work. Together, we’ll get curious about the different parts of you: those that protect, those that carry pain, and those that hold hope; so you can build a more compassionate and trusting relationship with yourself.
I view each person through an inclusive and holistic lens, honoring the many identities and experiences that shape who you are. Much of my work centers on life transitions, relationships, boundaries, and identity, helping you move toward choices that feel aligned and authentic. While I draw from a range of therapeutic tools, every step of the process is tailored to you, because there is no one-size-fits-all path to healing.
